For the first time in quite some time majority of humans have been forced to stay indoors and to distance socially because someone somewhere decided to eat a bat😒.That not being the reason for writing this blog,the virus has had massive impact on the life of every single person.This pandemic has had effects on the lives of teachers,students,lawyers, doctors and all proffesionals including thieves as their main source of income has been cut abruptly.

The covid-19 pandemic has been a show stopper and not because of its looks or big heartenedness but because of the terror that accompanies it.Already claiming over 300,000 lives and yet unsatisfied.Although it has not made a name for itself like the Bubonic plague that claimed over 75 Million lives,the covid 19 has terrorized the hearts of most of the people.The rest have been forced to stay indoors by their respective governments.

Most people have found it really hard to survive indoors because lets face it,it is not easy.Seeing the same face over and over again for a whole day is boring enough,what about a whole week or a month.It is a sacrifice we have to make for survival because otherwise we would be competing with dinnosaurs for the prize of ‘the most extinct animals’.The remedy to most plagues has been quarantine and it seems to have already worked in China.

Covid-19 has run over everything that came in its way.For those who thrive on social gatherings,this is probably the worst time ever as they got no masses to move except maybe for their families.This virus is giving people opportunity for self evaluation as social distancing is a very effective preventive measure against it.So take this time to meditate and reflect on yourself.

The virus has stopped everything excluding some essential services like water.Few workers are allowed to report for duty to provide these services.Education in schools has been brought to a halt as an immediate response to this pandemic.However,this has provided some room for innovation and some institutes are continuing with their studies online.This has not received great response because the first assumption that,every student has access to a smartphone or a laptop,is not generally agreed upon.

The government also has to play its role in providing for their citizens as most of them are not working.Provide the people with food and they will stay indoors.

Take care.Stay safe.Survive.

These two words combined have caused and can still cause both destruction and motivation depending on your mindset.The society forms an integral part of everyone’s life.There is a lot of interdependence between us and the society.Generally,we all know that we form the society but we forget that the society forms us too.A great deal of our manners and core values are regulated by the society.

Society is the breeding ground and foundational layer for all kinds of individuals.A society that encourages each other and works together has different impacts on individuals compared to a society where every individual has only self interests.The former will build each other, work towards a common goal and everyone grows together.The latter creates a society without unity and interdependence.This type of society breeds criminals and thieves as the blessed ones do not care about the rest.

The society expects a lot from every individual.However, nowadays the society has become a bully.Make a simple mistake and you become a laughing stock.Life nowadays requires people who are emotionless where only the strongest survive.One common thing in any society is that people will always talk about you,whether you are doing good or bad.So,if you rely on people’s approval then you are in a hell of a lot of trouble.People have been forced to call themselves introverts because they simply cannot find a way to co-exist with these kind of people.

People have become judges of other people’s lives.A girl not yet married when 26 years must have a problem,they say.A man 40 years not yet married must have kids out of wedlock,so they say.He does not seek other people’s approval,he is arrogant,so they say.He has been going to the office for ten years but he still doesn’t have a car,so they say.People will always find something to say but you choose what to digest and what to excrete.The earlier you decide to seek your own approval,the better.Self confidence is always the key.

Live your life and do not try to please everyone because that is unachievable.In life you should always be competing with yourself and not with others.

If you spent your life concentrating on what everyone else thought of you, would you forget who you really were? What if the face you showed the world turned out to be a mask… with nothing beneath it?

We live in seriously uncertain times where everyone is unsure of what to do or say.The sufferrers of this unfortunate circumstances are the have nots in our society.It has gone from very difficult to being almost impossible for the less fortunate in our society to come out and ask for help(beg is not necessarily the best term to use).

The underprivileged ones do not want to show themselves because of the accompannying chain of events.They have to be mentally and physically prepared for anything in this unpredictable world.They might get an insult as a response to their ask for help and that is never an easy pill to swallow.Others might even respond physically to them as they do not want to be seen with the less privileged in the society.Another group will want to show off with the help you are receiving from them and they maybe be forced to take a selfie.This among many other reasons cause the have nots in our society to succumb to their condition.

It is everyone’s responsibility to help a person in need even if it is just verbally.Who knows,your words may just motivate them to work harder to sustain a living.Your kind words might just turn a frown into a smile and what better feeling than that can you ever get.A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle,so use the blessings you have to help others in more desperate situations than yours.If only everyone takes care of their destitute relatives,neighbours and friends then our lives will be worth living.

A life spent only in satisfying self goals and doing nothing to help others is no life at all.In the words of the great Muhammad Ali ‘service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth’.The satisfaction you get when you help somebody is unmatchable.Help out if you can and if you can’t then do not worsen their situation.

There are various people who need our help.There will be no street kids if we decide to give them a home.There will be no orphans if we decide to take them in as our own.Donate money,food and clothings,join charity organizations,give some of your valuable time and spread love.The little you waste may mean everything to another person,so use everything sparingly and always try to be an inspiration to others.

The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.

This term has been defined by many people in many different ways.Some calling it the struggle to earn a living.Some define it as doing anything to earn money while others define it as striving headstrong towards a goal.Some other definitions are negative but it is just what you make of it and nothing more.

Hustlers are people who don’t wait for opportunities to come to their doorsteps.On the contrary they go out and find or create the opportunities for others and themselves.They are relentless in what they are doing till they achieve their objectives.

Hustlers are driven by different reasons but they all have a common goal of surviving in this harsh world.They have the attitude of ‘make money or die trying’ which is better than just waiting to make money magically.A famous quote serves up the issue of just dreaming of making money while doing nothing about it.The quote goes ‘Don’t stay in bed unless you can make money in bed.’

Hustlers survive mostly because they know why they are doing what they are doing.They have a plan for how they want their life to be and to achieve that they have to be seriously focused.Hustlers know that everything cannot be done alone and so they grow together with others.Investing in other people’s ideas and providing quality to everything they do to satisfy the consumers.Without focus and determination,one can easily go offtrack and lose their aim.

Nothing comes easy and there is no difference when it comes to hustling.Payday cannot be everyday, so you must be ready to grind.It is the amount of work that you put in your hustle which determines whether it becomes a success or a failed project.But it is better to have a failed project than no attempted project at all.

Finally, an idea remains an idea till you invest in it.Be proud of your ideas and strive to make them a success.Again,nothing comes easy.For all the hustlers out there, do not give up.

This is probably the best period in any student’s life.Those who have been through this life can attest to that.It is where you have the most fun in your life and where you get the best and worst experiences from.The campus forms the foundation for the kind of future you are planning on having,providing you with the necessary set of skills and helping you grow as a human being.

In campuses you grow from a teen focused on cramming his subjects just to pass to an intellectual trying to create the best version of a future for himself.Filled with distractions and temptations,it is where only priorities can rescue you.As a student,you will meet different kinds of people but you have the choice to hang out with whoever you wish provided you have something in common.

Campuses provide you with the opportunity to make connections with people because in one way or another you will need each other.This factor helps in providing some truth to the saying ‘It is not what you know but who you know’.The connections will be of utmost importance once you are done with your studies but that should not discourage you from working hard or rather working smart in campus.

Life in campus is unbearable without cash as everything depends on it.This fact has encouraged innovative students to engage in some business activities on campus.From publishing,salons,selling jewelry,selling clothes to selling perfumes.These group of students work really hard to make some cash.While most of the other students are waiting on government loans or occasional boost from their parents,this other pair are making money.

In campus you will come into contact with different kinds of people.You will meet,’the go-getters,the sleepy-heads,fashionistas,the crowd movers and the confused ones’ just to mention a few.As an adult your choices are your own and no one will advise you on which group you choose to interact with.Campus provides the students with adequate space for growth.

There is a very close relationship between the campus politics and the national politics especially here in Kenya.These two are very similar in that they are expensive and time consuming.Although unlike national politics,the number of voters involved in campus politics are fewer and easily traceable as majority reside within the campus.This however takes no credit from the campaigners as alot of energy and time is required to convince intellectuals to vote based on your manifesto.Apart from the manifesto,drinks must also be there in plenty.Campus leaders grow into national leaders after graduation.

During this period of the coronavirus pandemic we have been forced to stay at our own homes for our safety.It is therefore our responsibility to keep ourselves busy.I have come up with a list of ten captivating series to watch to reduce the boredom.This list includes only series with at least five seasons.

10.The Sopranos

This show is considered by some viewers as the best series of all time.It premiered in the year 1999 and has 6 seasons.It paved way for other shows like Breaking Bad.It will really thrill you.The Sopranos garnered a total of 21 Emmys and 112 Emmy nominations.This show is a MASTERPIECE.

9.Friends

The show ‘friends’ is considered as the best sitcom ever by many viewers.It is made up of ten seasons and it premiered in the year 1994.Friends follows the adventures of a group of friends trying to navigate their ways through this fast running life in New York.This show will give you mixed emotions but it will not disappoint.This show is just FANTASTIC.

8.Lost

‘Lost’ follows the lives of a group of passengers whose plane crashes on a mysterious island.The group realize that they should work together to find their way back home.If you are interested in mysteries this is a great catch and you won’t regret this.It is made up of 6 seasons and it aired for the first time in 2004.This show is THRILLING.

7.The 100

When a nuclear conflict destroys civilation only a group of people in space are left behind.They send a group of juveniles from amongst themselves to find out whether earth is still inhabitable and a very thrilling adventure begins.This show has 7 seasons and premiered in 2014.The action and intensity of this show will not let you down.The show is just SENSATIONAL.

6.Vikings

The story of Ragnar,who rises from a farmer to a fearless warrior and his entire family rising with him.The character development and the storyline of this show is just amazing.Every character’s personal growth is clearly unignored making the show really enjoyable to watch.It has six seasons and debuted in 2013.It won’t disappoint.This series is just MIND-BLOWING.

5.The Originals

If you are a fan of supernatural series,then this is it for you.The series follow the story of the first vampires ever created and the fight to regain control of their territory.It was produced as a spin-off to the series’The Vampire Diaries’.It first premiered in 2013 and has 5 seasons.This series is just EXTRAORDINARY.

4.Peaky Blinders

This series revolves around the story of a gang called the peaky blinders and their struggle for survival and expansion.This show does not need much explanantion.It has been nominated for many awards,winning the BAFTA Awards in 2018 for being the Best Drama Series.This show is just TOP NOTCH.

3.Breaking Bad

Upon realizing that he has cancer,Walter, a chemistry teacher,decides to make meth to settle his medical bills.The adventure that follows is just delightful.Breaking Bad has 16 Emmys to its name and 58 nominations.This show is just MARVELLOUS!!

2.Prison Break

Who has never heard of Michael Scoffield? The answer to that question will rarely be a ‘yes’.The screenplay is of highest quality.The characters are just amazing.This is in my opinion,the most addictive series ever.It premiered in 2005 and it has 5 seasons.Prison Break has been nominated fo fourteen awards.This show is EXCELLENT!!

1.Game Of Thrones

Inarguably the greatest series of all time.The amount of surprises,intensity and deception in this show is just amazing.This show debuted in 2011 and has got 8 seasons.Despite the disapproval of its ending by many fans,it still outshines any other series ever made.This show has been nominated for 128 Emmys and won 38 of those.This show is just MATCHLESS.

Put simply,it is the best form of sport without any arguments.It has an estimated 3.5 billion fans worldwide.It is the most passionate of sports and i will touch on various football topics including the greatest debate which is the Messi Vs Ronaldo debate.

1.Passionate fans

Undoubtedly,football attracts lots of passion from the fans and players.The players give everything they have and fight till the last kick of the game.The fans have their backs,singing and praising the players urging them to fight harder.However hefty the ticket fees are,the fans still pay to see their favourite team and players.

The fact that some fans react violently after losing a match goes a long way in exposing the amount of passion associated with football.

2.Rivalry

Not mentioning the rivalry in football would be the greatest understatement in a football discussion.It is this rivalry that creates intensity in a football match and gives the players the urge to fight for a win.The most famous rivalry being the El Classico(Real madrid Vs Barcelona).The biggest in England being Liverpool Vs Manchester United despite inconsistent perfomance in recent years by the latter.

3.Footballers’ salaries

The question of whether footballers are overpaid has been on many different forums and people have different opinions regarding this issue.Personally,they are worth their salaries simply because they are the best at what they do.The club owners do not seem to be worried about the salaries they earn,so why should we?What many of the fans do not realize is that football is the palyers jobs and not fun play.Football generates lots of revenue and so the footballers deserve their huge payments.

4.Football pundits

Pundits are experts in a particular field who are mostly called upon to give a comment in media.In football,pundits form an integral part.They are paid to comment on players perfomances,attitude and work rates.Although sometimes their opinions seem rather harsh,they are meant to encourage the player concerned to work harder.However,sometimes things get heated between a player and a pundit turning it into a personal battle.But all in all everyone is doing his job.

This is the best era for any football fan.Watching professional football being dominated by two players is not easy but it is what it is.Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been running a two-man show for over a decade.Many debates have gone on and on without an end about the GOAT(Greatest Of All Time) amongst them.As a fan,i must also make my choice.I am a Ronaldo fan because of my great admiration for hardwork rather than just talent.I respect Messi as it is always a nightmare having him as an opponent but i believe Cristiano is a better role model to the future generation.But i hope that one day we won’t have to choose between them but rather appreciate them both for their contribution to football.

In this generation fashion has been a self confidence booster and a source of enhancing peculiarity.Most people keep up with latest fashion trends so that they can stand out in a crowd while others do so to state their financial capabilities.

Fashion markets have taken advantage of the generations interest in latest trends and are greatly cashing in on their enthusiasm.Standing out in a crowd seems to be a reason for interest in latest fashion and the buyers are ready to pay the price for it.
